MANNIX / ORAL GROOVE

Oral Groove were an exciting power-pop-punk band from NYC consisting of Joe Mannix, Chris Peck, Ed Fingerling and Bob Brochu. They recorded most of their music at the HOV, including their debut album "June" and their smashing swansong "Collisionville". Chris and Joe then splintered off to form Mannix, who recorded an album which they had hoped would be a "new musical beginning." Mannix were able to experiment with stripped-down acoustic folk music, full-out rocking material and even orchestrated rock pieces. Joe and Chris wore many musical hats performing and producing most of the musical parts themselves. Mannix hoped to make an album joining these diverse songs into one ‘beautifully cohesive album listening experience.’ Speaking for those who have heard it-- they did just that!!
