| Mick Hargreaves, aka Mick Hargrave, was previously playing bass for the Grip Weeds and the Ghostrockets. The talented bassist/vocalist/surfer/snowboarder came to the HOV to put the finishing touches on "Redemption Center", his debut solo release, wrapping production just in time to catch some surf in Puerto Rico. A handful of tracks on the CD (Home, Always Come and Be Like You) were originally recorded when Mick was a Grip Weed w/ Kristin, Kurt and Rick assisting on guitars, drums and vocals. recording experience at the HOV is also one of my best recording experiences
there. Acoustic guitar, banjo, bass, and dobro were all laid down at the
same time in a live backing track recording. Because of the down-home atmosphere
and the ease with which HOV gets sounds right at the source (the microphone),
this was the studio to use. It was a fun session, and the track turned out
